The November 2006 issue of Western Councillor contained an article from the Department of Health answering frequently asked questions to assist Local Government considering how to manage the emerging risk of an outbreak of pandemic influenza.

Workshops: Engaging and Supporting Local Government in becoming aware of, and planning for, a possible human influenza pandemic

A series of business continuity planning workshops for Local Government was held in locations around the state between April and June 2007. The workshops aimed to introduce tools and a practical approach to business continuity management, and raise awareness of the possible impacts of a human influenza pandemic and its implications for Local Government.
